Solvay FM 490A core splice adhesive is an epoxy material that has been modified and is supplied in sheet form. It can be cured in place using either free-foaming or restrained-foaming processes.

Product Information
The product can be processed at any temperature ranging from 107°C to 177°C (FM 490A may be processed at any temperature ranging from 107°C (225°F) to 177°C (350°F). It is specifically designed to minimize variation in cell structure induced by typical process variables such as heat-up rates and vacuum conditions.
It also contains no metallic fillers and is appropriate for radar transparency applications. Typical applications for the product include honeycomb splicing, bonding inserts or edge members to the core, and localized reinforcement of honeycomb core where increased shear strength is required.
