RF 1159 FR A/B is a flame-retardant, high-strength syntactic epoxy resin engineered for potting and encapsulation applications where fire safety, durability, and dimensional stability are critical. Formulated to comply with UL 94 V-0 and FAR 25.853 a/b flammability standards, this system combines a rapid gel time with excellent non-slump handling properties, ensuring ease of application in demanding environments.
Its thixotropic paste consistency allows precise placement without sagging, while the cured system delivers exceptional compressive strength (11,300 psi) and a high compressive modulus (359 ksi), making it suitable for structural reinforcement and load-bearing potting applications. With a cured density of only 0.93 g/cc, RF 1159 offers strength-to-weight advantages ideal for aerospace and other weight-sensitive applications.
