Loctite 518 is a single-component, medium-strength anaerobic sealant. It cures when confined without air between closely fitted metal surfaces and offers resistance to low pressures. This version is pre-mixed with Loctite SF 7649.

Product Information
The product is an anaerobic gasketing material for rigid iron, aluminum, and steel flanged surfaces. It can fill gaps up to 0.25mm and forms a durable, chemical-resistant seal. Despite extended service, the parts can still be easily disassembled. Typical applications for this product include sealing tight joints between rigid metal faces and flanges. It is also commonly used as a formed-in-place gasket on rigid flanged connections, such as transmissions and motor housings.
