This product is designed to save labor, material, and time when applying a dry-in-place, military specification-approved chromate conversion coating for touch-up applications. It provides a rapid and simple treatment without the use of liquids, delivering excellent corrosion protection on aluminium, with or without painting, and is also effective on many steels.
The dry-in-place coating eliminates the generation of hazardous rinse waters, reducing worker contact with chromating solutions and minimizing waste. Used at room temperature with simple surface preparation, it is economical in use, and the pen-tip can be trimmed with a sharp knife to conform to any shape. Surfaces treated with this product are suitable for a wide range of subsequent coatings. Before starting the application procedure, it is necessary to become familiar with the mechanics of the pen itself.
