A PERSONAL APPROACH TO ENGINEERED MATERIALS – BUILT ON PARTNERSHIP.


Partnership is at the heart of our business at GracoRoberts. On May 1, 2019, Graco Supply Company completed its acquisition of E.V. Roberts to create the largest niche specialty chemicals distributor to serve the North American aerospace market.  At that time, a new partnership was created to offer our customers and suppliers access to a larger portfolio of products in more locations and custom value-added services to support your evolving needs.

Graco Supply Company was founded in 1959 and has been a nationally recognized leader in the supply of adhesives, sealants, coatings, lubricants, tapes and MRO products to the aircraft and industrial markets. In 2002, Graco Supply experienced a change in ownership which allowed the company to focus on innovation and expansion of supply capabilities which has been driven by customer requirements and the ever-changing market demands. In 2015, Graco was acquired by CM Equity Partners and in 2016, sold their Ball Ground aircraft sealant repackaging business assets to Royal Adhesives to focus on expanding it’s aerospace and defense services. To continue to evolve, it was imperative to acquire a partner who shared the same company values – this partner was E.V. Roberts.

E.V. Roberts was founded in 1938 as Fry and Roberts, with a focus on aerospace electronics distribution. It’s founder Ernie Roberts believed in collaborating with manufacturers to solve problems and align strategies to deliver the best products to their end users. Ron Cloud joined E.V. Roberts as CEO in 1993 to continue to build on the legacy Ernie had started. With a focus on technical expertise and impeccable support, the company would evolve to include the distribution of epoxy resins and adhesives, employ an in-house chemist, and develop a custom formulation division that would meet the needs of manufacturing industries for years to come.

Our 140 years of combined aerospace materials expertise have given us the experience necessary to serve the North American aerospace and defense market, in addition to select advanced manufacturing industries. We remain responsive to manufacturer and customer needs, and we anticipate – and proactively adapt — to shifts in the marketplace. We take risks to do the right thing by our partners and customers.
